Getting to Kings Lynn

Getting here by car
If you do come by car, there are lots of places you can park and than catch the bus to make the most of the beautiful Norfolk coast. If you are coming from the King’s Lynn direction, there are brown tourist signs along the A149 that will direct you to the clifftop car park at Old Hunstanton, and our buses stop right outside.
If you do come by car, wherever possible please use the car parks in the main towns and help us keep to time by not parking on or near bus stops or by blocking the narrow roads through some of the villages we call at, especially Burnham Market, Stiffkey, Salthouse and Cley.
By train
Our buses meet most trains at King’s Lynn (to and from Cambridge and London King’s Cross, change at Ely for the Midlands and the North), or at Sheringham (to and from Norwich, change there for Yarmouth, Lowestoft, London Liverpool Street, the Midlands and the North). Check www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times and fares from anywhere in the UK.
The King’s Lynn line is run by First Capital Connect (www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk), and our buses stop at the front of King's Lynn station to meet the trains in both directions. You can now buy a through ticket to Burnham Market or Wells next the Sea from any FCC station.
The Sheringham line is run by Greater Anglia (www.greateranglia.co.uk), and is known as the Bittern Line. The Bittern Line has its own Community Rail Partnership, which can be visited at www.bitternline.com. You can also combine a day’s train travel between Norwich and Sheringham with Coasthopper buses between Sheringham and Hustanton with a £7.80 Bittern Rover, available on the train or on the bus.
By bus
King’s Lynn is the hub of bus routes throughout West Norfolk and into Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. For details of Norfolk Green routes from Spalding, March, Wisbech, Downham Market and Fakenham, visit www.norfolkgreen.co.uk. For other bus routes, visit www.travelineeastanglia.co.uk.
Norfolk Green also run the 29 bus from Fakenham to Wells, which meets Coasthopper buses in both directions, and also the 10 and 11 buses from King’s Lynn to Hunstanton via Castle Rising, Sandringham, Dersingham and Heacham up to three times an hour. Get the freedom of any Coasthopper and Norfolk Green bus for a whole day with our Explorer ticket, great value at £8 for adults or £20 for a family group. Coasthopper return and Rover tickets can also be purchased and used on our 10 and 11 buses.
By coach
